Battlefield: Mind
Ok, here it is. I don't know how many people- if any- read this blog. All I know is that the counter keeps ticking on visitors. At any rate, the point is I need prayer. If any of you are praying people, this is your call. I have been under a great deal of attack lately. My bosses are scheduling and rescheduling me in towns that are 68+ miles apart, I am fighting to find time to do what I need to do to be effective as a youth pastor, I am sinking financially, I am stressed out, my hair is actually falling out, I am finding more and more of my friends withdrawing from me, and I am trying to keep the faith. I know ultimately that there is something going on or going to happen that Satan is really not happy about. Maybe it is that a dead youth group is resurrecting. Maybe it is the Sunday Night service that is in the making. Regardless, I am seeking prayer that God would protect me from what Satan is trying to do. God is bigger than these problems, and as evidenced in Job's case, He will restore and use what Satan meant for evil to change for good. Pray also for the youth group; if they are on the right track or about to find it, Satan will try and mess them up too. To God be the glory.

Lord, I lift Rebecca up to You. I ask that Your hand will be upon her as she does this work. Guide her and protect her. Give her favor in the eyes of her bosses so that she will be able to work at just the one store. If need be, bolster her boldness and give her the strength to stand her ground. Thank You that this youth group is being rebuilt. Continue to touch these kids and bring them closer and closer to You. Amen.
Have you told your bosses that you can't continue doing all this driving? Personally, I'd be looking for another job (have you tried Sykes?) and be ready to give them an ultimatum - either you give me the hours at the closer store, or I quit. Just an idea.
Guys, thanks so very much. You may never know how much reading these words and scriptures has helped just now when I really needed to read them. Thanks for affirming the fact that I am not writing this to just take up room on the internet, and for showing me that there are people reading this that are prayerful people. JC, you know I love ya, and I know that the work thing will chill soon. What is Sykes, anyhow? Philip, I don't know you personally (if I do, sorry that I'm a jerk and forgot!), but thanks for being there. God bless, and I'm glad to hear that He came through when you needed Him the most. I know He is working things out as I type, so it will all get better soon.
Lord, bless JC and Philip, men after your own heart, and give them abundant wealth of love, wisdom and blessings. May they be given back tenfold for the prayers they have raised on my behalf. Amen.
